PLS Introduces Rugged New Green Lasers

All lasers are cool. I mean, they are lasers.

I remember when they weren’t a thing. Then they cost $1,500 and were for road crews and office buildings only. Now, Johnny DIY is using them to hang pictures on the weekend and they’re just a baseline item we all have in our gear. (Lasers and kitchens go together. JLC goes deep here.)

However, lasers are not all created equally. I really like the green lasers I’ve used and apparently science (and PLS) says they’re easier to see.

To go along with the upfit of the entire PLS line—units will be more rugged than they are now and more resistant to water and dust—this launch includes three entirely new PLS models: the PLS 5G five-point laser in green and the PLS 6R/6G combo laser that replaces the PLS 4. These are all new laser levels in the most-popular handheld category.

A new pendulum lock on the handhelds better protects the units in the truck, for example. Combined with the PLS three-year class warranty with same-day replacement by local dealers, if there is downtime from a broken tool, it seems it’ll be minimal.
