Ever since CPG International–the parent company of Azek Building Products–purchased TimberTech from the Crane Group back in 2012, the two brands have co-existed in CPG’s portfolio of deck-related products. But the company recently announced that from now on, TimberTech will be the umbrella brand for all decking, railing, porch, paver, fastening, and lighting products, while the trim and molding business will be rebranded as Azek Exteriors (some of you might have seen its ad during the Superbowl that hinted at its new rebranding campaign). According to a press release, the TimberTech decking portfolio now includes TimberTech Edge, TimberTech Pro, and TimberTech Azek, which the company says consists of the original Azek capped polymer deck collections, but now with a 50-year fade and stain warranty.
Azek Makes Up Its Mind
Its decking is now a TimberTech product, while its PVC trim and moldings are from Azek.
