Self-adhered Boral Roofing MetalSeal underlayment is designed especially for metal roofing but may be used with any roofing type. The underlayment sheet bonds to the roof deck or base sheet upon installation, self-sealing around fastener penetrations for protection against rain, snow, and ice. The manufacturer says that MetalSeal eliminates the need for an excessive number of nails, reducing installation time and cost, and that it remains intact under high foot traffic and provides traction for safe installation.
