Matt Risinger Talks Clever Jobsite Hacks

Tree protection, jobsite office, and a what? A picnic table?

Matt Risinger is an awesome builder, with an incredible YouTube channel. In this video, Matt has a lot of really good ideas for jobsites large and small.

My favorite combines two things I feel equally strongly about—my blood-boiling hatred of a trash-strewn jobsite and my reverence for the great and powerful Don Dunkley who—like Matt—preferred the uncommon but simple idea of eating lunch sitting in a chair rather than propped up against a stud wall.

Matt, who sets up a picnic table at his jobs—genius!—gets everybody eating in the same place with a rubbish can nearby.

Dunk, that Einstein of the square of framing, brought lawn chairs to his framing sites. No sitting on boxes and buckets and kegs of hand nails. No sitting in the dirt. A few $5 chairs bring civility to coffee time.
