Tapcon Large-Diameter Concrete Anchors

Tapcon says its new large-diameter concrete anchors are faster to install and can resist higher tension and shear loads than sleeve and wedge anchors. They’re available in three diameters—1/2 inch, 3/8 inch, and 5/16 inch—and in lengths ranging from 2 to 6 inches. A redesigned thread lowers installation torque and improves holding power, the manufacturer says, and an induction-hardened tip cuts into concrete and brick and increases pullout strength. The fasteners are code-approved for cracked and seismic applications. Buildex Tapcon, 877.489.2726, tapcon.com
