A Most Bizarre Carpentry Tool

I don’t normally link to manufacturers’ videos – but this tool is so unusual that I just had to. So what is this device? It’s the Schnittführung SF400, a precision cutting guide for chainsaws. The saw slides up and down like the blade in a guillotine and there’s a laser for aligning the cuts. It’s the kind of tool that a timber framer might use.
