Advanced Cordless DrillBrushless motors have been around for years, but they’re still not that common in cordless tools. Earlier this year Milwaukee introduced its first brushless tool, the 18-volt Fuel drill/driver. According to the company, the combination of a brushless motor, a new electronic monitoring system, and existing Red-Lithium batteries produces a durable drill with more power and runtime than competing models. The tool has a battery gauge, an LED light, and a two-speed motor. It weighs about 4-1/2 pounds and is relatively compact. |
