Between the luxury appliances, stylish faucets, and a slew of cabinetry and entry door hardware introductions at this year’s Kitchen & Bath Show, a number of new products are focusing on helping make homeowners’ lives easier.
Dozens of people crowded around the Galley Sink booth to watch products creator Roger Shollmier demonstrate the convenience of a wide trough-style kitchen sink with a collection of prep accessories that slide along tracks on top of the basin. “You can go from cooking to cleaning to filling the sink with ice and serving right here,” Shollmier said. “Who wouldn’t want that in their kitchen?”
Lutron introduced its Serena Shades at the show, bringing the convenience of motorized window shade control to more homeowners by creating a battery-operated system and lowering the pricepoint. Windows also came into view at NanaWall, where the company has created a folding window system to be used in conjunction with its well-known folding doors. The Kitchen Transition window can effectively “unzip” the walls of a home (kitchen or elsewhere) further opening spaces to their outdoor surroundings.
