According to the National Weather Service, drought conditions are likely to persist in the western U.S. this summer, while easing in the Plains states. Irrigation manufacturer RainDrip’s WeatherSmartPro controller is a WaterSense–approved gadget that automatically adjusts pre-set irrigation programs by incorporating data from a wireless weather sensor. RainDrip says homeowners who replace a non-smart sensor with WeatherSmart Pro could use 30% less water on the lawn and be eligible for rebates up to $200 if offered in their area.
