Klein recently released two new flashlights for electricians, inspectors, and technicians. The 56026 Penlight with laser (shown here, left) has a 45-lumens LED that’s meant for illuminating dimly lit areas close up. A ring around the top of the light charges when in use and then glows when the light is turned off. It also has a Class II laser pointer with a significant reach (I shot it 40 ft. in my shop and could see the dot perfectly, even in the lit warehouse space). The light has an aluminum body and runs on two AAA batteries. According to the manufacturer, runtime is 10 hours. The light sells for about $25.

The 56028 Flashlight with worklight, (shown here, left, and below), has a bright 235-lumens LED flashlight that can illuminate larger areas. As with the penlight, the flashlight charges a ring that will glow for a short while once the light is turned off. It also features a 100-lumens work light, which is that rectangular-shaped window on the side of the tool. A powerful magnet on the bottom of the flashlight is meant for sticking to the inside of the panel box door, seen here. With the tool secured on the door and the work-light mode on, it’s possible to see clearly the inside of the panel box even when no other light is present. It runs on three AAA batteries; Klein says that in flashlight mode, it has a runtime of about 6 hours, and in work-light mode, the runtime is about 12 hours. This light is also IP67 rated, so it’s waterproof and dustproof. The light sells for about $35.
