Kitchen Sinks

Stow It. In a small kitchen without an inch of counter space to spare, where does the homeowner stash pot scrubbers, vegetable brushes, and other clean-up supplies? Julien’s Classic Collection undermount sink has two tilt-out drawers, one on each side. At 24 inches wide and 18 inches deep, the 16-gauge stainless steel fixture is smaller than a standard kitchen basin, but it’s a good 10 inches deep. It costs $2,480. Second Life. Made from 16-gauge recycled copper, Elkay’s hammered sinks feature a burnished finish that darkens over time. Warn your clients that copper requires a little extra maintenance: Elkay recommends rinsing and drying the basins after each use. The Antique Copper Hammered line contains 11 styles, including the 33-inch-by-22-inch double-bowl apron-front model shown, which retails for $3,086. Elkay, 630/572-3192, www.elkayusa.com.

Work Station. Blanco’s two-bowl Platinum Series Blancoaxis maximizes efficiency by incorporating a drain board (on either the right or the left), a colander, and a sliding cutting board made of safety glass. The 18-gauge stainless-steel drop-in fixture measures 39 3/8 inches by 20 1/16 inches; its 7-inch-deep main bowl is 13 3/8 inches by 16 1/2 inches. It costs $1,098. Bathtubs

Neck Deep. Americh’s Contura cast acrylic tub comes with or without an air-jet system. The freestanding unit is 6 feet long, 32 inches wide, and 28 inches high; inside depth is 22 inches. It can hold 60 gallons of water and comes in five finishes. With air jets, it costs $6,750; without, $4,750. Americh, 800/453-1463, www.americh.com.

Around the Bend. Neptune’s molded acrylic Wind tub is designed for an easy corner installation and measures 60 inches by 36 inches by 20 inches — large enough to accommodate two bathers, according to the maker. It can be dressed up with air or whirlpool jets, or even a mood lighting system and surround sound. It lists for $1,200. Neptune, 450/773-7058, www.neptuneb.com.
