The National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) of Eastern Massachusetts is urging members to contact Congress in an effort to keep funding the Carl D. Perkins Career & Technical Education Act.
This act is the “main federal funding source that supports development of academic and career and technical skills among secondary education students” according to NARI.
Congress increased funding for the first time in over a decade this past year, which NARI says was a “good first step.”
The association is urging members to again contact Congress and urge them to increase spending for the FY2019 bill.
