A pair of gruesome discoveries were made recently at home remodeling sites in Georgia and South Carolina.

In Valdosta, Ga., a body was found Tuesday morning, May 29, inside a home undergoing renovation. According to investigators, there were no obvious signs of foul play, but they body is undergoing an autopsy.

In Rock Hill, S.C., workers stumbled upon a similar situation, finding nine headstones around the property. According to Mike Hudson, owner of MD Hudson Builders, some of the headstones belonged to veterans.

Fortunately, it doesn’t appear they were marking actual grave sites. Hudson says he was told the headstones likely contained errors.

“They think they maybe misprints but from what I understand there is a different protocol for getting rid of them than just giving them to people for stepping stones,” said Hudson.

Police are currently investigating where they came from.
