OSHA published technical corrections and amendments to 27 standards and regulations, correcting minor misprints, omissions, outdated references, and tabular and graphic inaccuracies. The revisions apply to several industry sectors, including general industry and construction.
According to OSHA, the revisions do not affect requirements or coverage of the impacted standards, do not modify or revoke existing rights, and do not establish new rights or obligations for employers. The updates correct OSHA’s Recording and Reporting Injuries and Illnesses Regulations, Occupational Safety and Health Standards for general industry, and Safety and Health Regulations for Construction.
Amendments to the Recording and Reporting Injuries and Illnesses Regulations include adjustments to partial exemptions for certain employers, and the correction to typographical errors in the annual summary provision and definitions section. For its Occupational Safety and Health Standards for general industry, OSHA is correcting obsolete regulatory text, and correcting typographical errors in its definitions and requirements section. For its Safety and Health Regulations for Construction, OSHA is updating the list of territories to which OSHA construction standards apply and replacing outdated references to lead-paint standards and respirators.
