What’s Your Winter Weather Strategy?

Let it snow! Unless you've got a job to complete, that is!

1 MIN READ

Winter is fast approaching, and while no one knows exactly what this year’s weather will look like, contractors need to be ready for anything. At a recent conference we attended, one remodeler mentioned that, during the winter months, he switches his company from being a company to serving primarily as a snow removal service. As a replacement contractor, he found he was getting more snow removal calls than anything else and decided to focus his business during that type of weather on what people wanted.

Now, we’re putting the question out there to our readers. What do you do to keep the work flowing during months with poor weather? Is snow removal your thing? Or do you continue working on regular jobs? We want to know! While this winter survey might not apply to all of our readers (hello, Florida-based remodelers!) we’re interested in how the seasonal weather impacts your business. So if you suffer from a rainy season and can’t work on roofs, we still want to know.

This survey will run for three weeks and will close on Dec. 9th. If you include your name and your company’s name, your comments could show up in a future issue of Remodeling Magazine!
