Ten members of a Georgia family – including two children – were injured when their deck collapsed during a Thanksgiving gathering. All of the injured required treatment at a local hospital, and one man was transferred by helicopter to a hospital in Chattanooga, Tenn. While the collapse is under investigation, a photograph taken at the scene indicates that the deck ledger wasn’t properly fastened to the house framing. Read more here.
