Tab And Slot Design Is Structurally Sound And Resists Delamination
ProVia uses a tab and slot design—the inside and outside skins are interlocked to make the door a one-piece unit. Most other steel doors on the market are crimped on the edges and then they are filled with polyurethane, which expands and holds the skins together. ProVia doors are held together without depending upon foam for structure. Legacy steel doors are more structurally sound and the skins won’t come apart and delaminate.
