Clai Porter owns NCP Construction Ltd., a remodeling firm in Anchorage, Alaska. He is a Co-Founder of Cold Climate Housing Research Center, and served as Chairman of the Board forten years. He is also was a member of the Alaska Housing Finance Corporation, serving on the Board of Directors as Chairman of the Board and Vice Chairman for ten years. Among his awards are: Alaska's Builder of the Year 3 times, NAHB Remodeler of the Year and isinducted in the NAHB Remodeler Hall of Fame. He also teaches estimating classes at the University of Alaska in Anchorage.
