How Buildings Learn

1 MIN READ

Many know of Stewart Brand’s classic How Buildings Learn: What happens after they’re built. It’s essential reading for every remodeler … indeed, for every building professional interested in designing or building structures that will last – and evolve – over time.

Way back in 1997, before we had the bandwidth to stream videos, Brand worked with director James Muncie and BBC Television to create a 6-part series on How Buildings Learn. And now that the Internet has evolved, Brand has posted the series on YouTube. It’s well worth watching (and listening to; music is by Brian Eno) … even a second (or third) time, if you were lucky enough to catch the telly version.
