Invisible Joints for Long Trim

Here’s another great trim carpentry tip from Marlon Rodriguez (follow him on Instagram @carpentry_bymar). Here he explains why 30-degree or 45-degree splice joints used to join long lengths of baseboard or other trim together tend to open up over time, while properly executed butt joints made with biscuits or dowels and glue won’t. As he demonstrates, there’s a simple trick for making the butt joint disappear.
