Bedding the Sheets

When I was done spreading the thinset, I carefully set the first course of membrane sheets into place, taking care to get the lugs lined up from one sheet to the next.

When the sheets were placed where I wanted them, I went over the entire surface with all my weight pressing down on a wooden float. This action fully beds the membrane into the thinset.

Areas around the linear drain would not be heated, so I filled in those areas with regular Ditra Mat that I had left over.

I made sure to go over those areas with the wooden float as well. When all those areas were finished, I continued with the regular courses of membrane.
