Down to the Wire

When I’d completed the installation of the heat membrane, I was ready to run the wire. Before I started pressing the wire into the membrane, I tested it to be sure that it was not faulty.

I’ve learned from experience to keep the bathroom floor heat and the shower heat on separate lines. That way, if one section develops a problem, the other can continue to provide heat.

The first line traveled down to the shower. I try to keep the runs of wire at least three lugs from one another. The second run went down to the entrance to the shower and then filled in the rest of the bathroom floor over to the door.
