Install the Gussets

After cutting the five gussets from 2-inch Kerdi board, the crew member prepares to install the first one along the wall. He spreads unmodified thinset mortar on the wall, butters the side of the first gusset, and presses the gusset into the wet thinset on the wall.

After spreading thinset on the wall and on the floor at the second position, the crew member presses that gusset into position.

He installs the other gussets in similar fashion, bedding them in thinset along the floor and wall.
