1 MIN READ

In this companion series to “A Curved Panel Niche” (Jul/18), author Gary Striegler narrates five video slideshows describing each step in the project.

In Part 1 of this series on making a curved-top niche, Gary Striegler walks us through the process of milling the stock and then laminating the strips into the curved shapes.

In Part 2, Gary Striegler builds the back of the niche with its curved top rail and moldings.

In Part 3, Gary Striegler turns his attention to the curved top jamb using the pieces he had laminated in Part 1.

In Part 4, Gary Striegler builds the straight side jambs and then attaches them to the back and top of the niche.

In Part 5, Gary Striegler installs and cases the curved niche that he just assembled in his shop.
