Simpson Strong-Tie’s new Strong-Wall site-built portal frame system (PFS) gives contractors a way to meet code-defined wood wall-bracing requirements for narrow wall widths. A cost-effective alternative to IRC braced-wall solutions, the PFS is available in single-wall and double-wall portal frame kits, which include holdown assemblies, standoff and adjustable post bases, truss-ply screws, connector screws, and a six-lobe T40 driver bit.
