Grabber's Joist Jaws offer floor and deck framers an extra set of hands

Framers and deck builders struggling to position long joists can give themselves an extra hand with Joist Jaws by Grabber. These devices clamp onto the ends of truss-type, dimensional, or engineered lumber joists. They can be used to line up the far end of a joist when it’s being pulled flush against a mudsill, to support a joist flat against a beam when fitting a joist hanger in place, or to align rafters with a ridge beam. They’re sold in pairs for about $60. Grabber, 800/477-8876. www.grabberman.com
