In Case You Ever Take a Day Off

Apparently “griddling” is a thing.

Should you ever put your circular saw down and close up your utility trailer for the weekend, or can stop cutting pocket holes for, like, a hot second this: Griddling.

I’ll take just about any excuse to cook outside, but since my grill’s Bernoulli ports are held together by spider webs, and the grease cup long ago disappeared, and I only kinda like grilled food anyway, when I saw Blackstone Products 36-inch Deluxe Grill Package I was like, wait. What?

But we can also make this about work if you want.

When my friend and Project Manager of Awesomeness Jeff Kirby isn’t yelling at his guys to keep their hardhats on, his company does events with the employees. So, if you take the guys out from time to time or invite them over and your grill fills fast, you can feed an army of empty-legged gluttons with the Blackstone’s 720 square inches of cooking space.

Or, if you’re up early on the weekend and want to surprise the family with breakfast, you can cook the whole thing on the Blackstone. Unlike grills, griddle yummies cook in their own juices (yes, I am making that Homer Simpson sound…hmmmm, bacon) and for your typical cookout you can add Philly cheesesteaks, fajitas, and anything else that would otherwise leak through grill grates. Blackstone also says that getting a full sear on a steak is yummier.

The Deluxe Grill Package is a combo kit designed to get you into the griddling game with everything you need. It has a steel lid, so even though it is on wheels, you can leave it outdoors year-round. The lid is also useful to isolate the griddle surface while it cools down. It comes with a soft cover for long-term storage.

With 60,000 Btu and four independently controlled burners, you’ll get even heat and be the star of the party. If you’re not so much with the cooking, Blackstone even has a blog with tips to get you up to speed.

So whatever it is—work party, gift to the employee of the year, or just a little down time—order’s up!

It costs $500.
