Schluter Systems. The Ditra-XL uncoupling membrane is specifically designed to provide solutions to common challenges faced by tile setters and flooring installers. The membrane offers the same uncoupling, waterproofing, vapor management, and load distribution features asthe maker’s original Ditra product, but Ditra-XL is more than twice as thick at 5/16 inches (7 mm). The increased thickness allows for even transitions between ceramic tile and 3/4-inch hardwood flooring, and also increases the product’s ability to accommodate movement.
