MBright Tools iVac Switch Box

Vac Automatic. With MBright Tools’ iVac Switch Box, any old shop vacuum or small dust collector can be used as a tool-triggered system. The switch turns the vac on just after the tool starts running to reduce the initial current draw and leaves the vac running for six seconds after the tool stops to clear the dust from the hose. The unit has two separate power cords and 15-amp breakers, but lighter loads can be powered with just one cord. It costs about $40 online. MBright Tools, 613/826-2200. www.ivacswitch.com
