Instagram is the happening app for building professionals these day. And it makes sense why: You’re on site, phone in-hand, documenting the job already. It’s easy to post up to IG – to share new methods, explain a technique, exchange ideas with fellow trades and show finished work. It’s proven to be a great “place” to build community and celebrate life in the building trades. And at JLC Live 2018, it was a great way to share new products found on the expo floor. Below are some of the product picks from some friends of JLC. If you aren’t following them already, you should get to know them on Instagram. They are among the great influencers who are taking the lead to put the industry and great building practices first for the good of the larger building community. We all win when we bring each other along.

Here is a closer look at the brand new hose from @festool_usa – 4 improvements overall, the hose is now much more flexible, it has a full length taper meaning its wider at the vac for increased airflow, its wrapped in a braided sleeve so it glides around corners and over edges, and both ends have new connectors. – On the tool end, the connectors twist and lock into compatible tools. On the vac end, the new connector has an inner tube, so you can link 27mm and 36mm hoses without the use of another piece. – The button on the end of the hose is part of the new bluetooth remote control system. A module is installed in your current vac, upgrading it to be able to trigger remotely when you hit that button. This is useful for cordless tools and also for general clean up, as there is less wasted time going back to the vac. – #festool #cleantec #dustextractor #vacuum #cordless #dustfree #tools #newtools #jlclive2018
