The DCS520 FlexVolt 60V MAX 6-1/2-inch Cordless Track Saw is equipped with a brushless motor and all the same features as the corded DWS520. It comes with a 6.5-inch FlexVolt thin-kerf blade – which DeWalt says is designed with optimum grind angles to maximize efficiency in the cut (therefore improving runtime compared with a non-FlexVolt blade). The carbide tips are ground on the sides, top, and face; according to DeWalt, the face shear, hook angle, and kerf minimize the chip load.
It features a 2 1/8-inch depth of cut at 90° and 1 5/8-inch at 45° when mounted to the track, and a depth scale to measure exact depth of cut. Also, its variable speed motor allows for multi-material cutting and enclosed guard for up to 90% dust collection when connected to a dust extraction tool.
