Westinghouse Lighting Corp. has acquired Radiant Lamp Co. from Philips Lighting Co.
A March press release indicated that Westinghouse was lured by Radiant’s line of differentiated light bulbs. “Our new lighting technologies will be a natural enhancement to the specialized Radiant business,” said Stan Angelo, chairman of Westinghouse, in the release. Westinghouse will enhance the Radiant line by adding incandescent, halogen, HID, and other energy-efficient lamps to the fold.
Under the agreement, Philips will continue its strong manufacturing relationship with Radiant, according to the release.
