PRODUCT:JotNot Scanner Pro by MobiTech 3000

What it does: Turns your iPhone into a scanner. You can do a walk-through on-site with trade partners, write notes on a scale drawing, then scan and send the drawing as a PDF via e-mail to everyone involved. JotNot has a one-time fee of 99 cents; PDFs are free to send but users pay to send faxes.

Why Jay Likes It: “Communication is the No. 1 reason. I can get people accurate information so they can do accurate pricing. And I don’t have to go to Kinko’s to copy something; I don’t have to make extra notes. And there’s a paper trail.” mobitech3000.com/applications.html (an iTunes account is required for purchase)
