Chamberlain. A trend toward converting garage areas into functional living spaces has resulted in garages with low, cathedral, or obstructed ceilings with which traditional ceiling-mounted garage door openers are incompatible. Recognizing this, the maker’s side-mounted LiftMaster Residential Jackshaft Opener Model 3800 (RJO 3800) simply mounts on the left or right side of the door and attaches to the garage door torsion bar. The design requires no rails and frees up the ceiling for design elements or storage. The space-saving opener runs on a quiet 24-volt DC motor and is compatible with sectional doors up to 14-feet high. 800.528.6563. www.liftmaster.com.
