Azek has added mahogany (shown here), dark hickory, coastline, and weathered teak to its existing lineup of capped polymer porch boards. According to the company’s ICC-ES evaluation report, the tongue-and-groove boards are produced in a coextruded process from cellular vinyl and a mineral additive, and are available in fully-capped and semi-capped versions. They measure a full 1 inch tall by 3 1/4-inches wide (plus the tongue) and have a wire-brushed natural matte finish. Azek says the new colors are inspired by exotic hardwoods, while the original tones–slate gray, oyster, brownstone, and silver oak–offer the look of traditional painted porches. All of the nine colors are available in 12-foot and 16-foot lengths, while a limited number of colors may be available in 10-foot lengths. The boards are designed for a maximum 16-inch span (11 inches on stair treads) and come with a 30-year limited fade and stain warranty and a limited lifetime warranty. azek.com.
