NewTechWood’s UltraShield decking combines a core of coarse wood fibers and high-density polyethylene plastic with an outer plastic shell for high scratch, stain, and fade resistance. The decking comes in four colors—teak, ipe, walnut, and light gray—and in hollow and solid profiles. Boards are about 5 1/2 inches wide and 9/10 inch thick and are available with a grooved or solid edge. The company offers a 25-year product warranty (10 years for commercial installations) and a two-year labor warranty. The company also sells plastic and stainless hidden-fastener clips.
