Versatex has added a traditional T&G beadboard profile and a smaller bed mould to its Canvas Series of 1×6 ceiling boards. Like the existing WP4 profile, the ceiling boards are available in black cherry, walnut, tropical macore, and amber. The company says that the boards’ wood-grain finish is achieved by bonding a laminate skin to a cellular PVC core, so while moisture-resistant, the boards must be protected from UV exposure. Intended to provide a no-maintenance look for porch and veranda ceilings, the boards come in 18-foot lengths and can span up to 24 inches on-center. The bed mould and a wider 4-inch crown-molding profile is also available in 16-foot lengths, and the company offers a color-matched touch-up kit for use on butt joints or fastener marks.
