Simpson Strong-Tie Adds Red Screw to Deck-Drive DSV Line

The new addition is designed for use with redwood decking

Simpson Strong-Tie has added a red screw to its line of Deck-Drive DSV wood screws. The red screw was designed with redwood decks in mind and joins the already-available tan and grey screws from the DSV line. The screw features a fast-start high/low tip, and a flat head with under-head nibs for easier countersinking. The #10 shank enables the screw to withstand expansion and contraction of deck lumber, and Quik Guard coating which helps prevent corrosion. The red screw is available in both hand-drive screws and collated screw strips. strongtie.com
