Feeney recently introduced a pair of awning kits that can be used to provide weather protection for entryways when a porch roof isn’t an option. The awning frames are made from powder-coated aluminum, while the canopies are polycarbonate. The manufacturer says the canopies are engineered to withstand snow and wind loads of 35 psf, and feature built-in rain gutters along their front edge to direct runoff to the sides and away from the heads of users. The awnings are available in two styles: Icon (a contemporary look), and Era (a traditional design), and can be customized with extension kits and other modular components to provide extended coverage on straight sections and around corners. The frames come in 14 standard colors (custom colors are available too), while customers have a choice of clear, frosted, or gray tint polycarbonate panels. Contact a local retailer for pricing.
