Trex Spiral Stairs

Trex offers choice of treads

1 MIN READ

Trex

Sold by Trex and designed for use with the company’s decking, railing, and LED lighting systems, these spiral stairs are manufactured by Pennsylvania-based The Iron Shop. They can be ordered in heights from 7 feet 2 inches to 12 feet 8 inches and in diameters of 5 feet and 6 feet, in either powder-coated aluminum or galvanized steel.

Aluminum frames contain 60% recycled material and are available in three stock colors as well as custom colors, with three tread options: smooth plate (standard), diamond plate, and pre-cut Trex boards. For galvanized steel stairs, which contain 25% recycled material, tread options are smooth plate (prepped for Trex) or diamond plate. Trex says assembly is a six- to eight-hour operation for two people.

Stairs come with a 25-year limited warranty. Lead time is typically four weeks, and costs range from $4,000 to $8,000 for a 10-foot-high deck.
