Water moving at 10 mph pushes with a force of 300 pounds per square foot. Water moving like this is a virtual bulldozer–even without its battering rams of floating logs and debris.
(Boulder County, Colo.) Boulder resident and longtime friend of JLC and Tools of the Trade is witnessing first-hand the devastation caused by the extensive flooding of Boulder Creek. following thunderstorms in early Fall, 2013.
As the aftermath drags out, JLC is featuring Springer’s coverage of the damage brought by these floods and the guidance he gathered on the ground as he witnessed how property owners and contractors are coping with the cleanup and repairs.
Michael Springer specializes in tool testing and construction industry coverage. While not wielding a chain saw, axe, or drawknife for rustic woodworking projects, Michael seeks out and restores antique hand tools to add to his extensive “user tool” collection.
