The trouble with house plans with in-law suites is that they can skew pretty large and require wide lots. Not this one. See more details at Houseplans.com.

On the exterior, a mix of materials adds texture. The simple front-loading garage sits beneath the casita.

Inside, the main level holds the primary gathering areas. Note the pocket office (handy for occasional work from home) and generous pantry storage. Tucked behind the garage, you’ll find the private entrance to the casita.

Upstairs is where the plan really stands out. On the left side, you’ll find three bedrooms (including the main suite with its sleek bathroom). On the right, but not connected, the casita provides a private apartment with a kitchen, a bedroom, and a modern bathroom. That makes it a great abode for a young adult or another live-in relative (as long as they don’t mind having to climb stairs).
