Now that we’re past Halloween, let’s turn our attention to Thanksgiving and, of course, kitchens. Here’s a new design that’s well prepared to handle the chaos of a big holiday dinner.

On the exterior, bold modern farmhouse styling is still very much on trend. The garage is located in the back, so the front stays focused on neighborhood-friendly curb appeal.

Inside, a flex room near the front can become a home office or a hobby space across from the primary suite. The living and dining areas flow into the main kitchen. But behind the kitchen there’s a surprise—a prep space (call it a messy kitchen) with a sink, a pantry, cubbies, and a desk.
