Remodeled Rooms Offer Pure Entertainment

Two rooms become one in this playful and comfortable space made for Hollywood.

In anticipation of a forthcoming swimming pool and outdoor living area, Christopher Grubb, president of Arch-Interiors in Beverly Hills, Calif., designed a space to meet the client’s desire to have a casual room for relaxing, entertaining, and watching television that also provided access to the soon-to-be-revamped exterior. From what was once two small spare bedrooms, he combined the rooms and added a variety of accents that would pay homage to the original construction of the home, built in 1924, while still feeling contemporary.

In addition to what he refers to as “the pool room,” Grubb also designed the new swimming pool and spa, as well as the interior space of the home’s more formal living room, which even includes a custom shelf.
