The electronic skylight uses a roof-mounted photovoltaic solar panel and two high-efficiency LED light fixtures connected with wires to simulate the daylighting effect of a skylight. For a realistic daylighting effect, the system emits a lower current and light level when the sun is low, and brightens as the sun moves higher in the sky.
