Sakrete has a new app for smartphones and tablets that allows the user to estimate the quantity of concrete mix needed for a project simply by snapping a photo. Sakrete says its augmented reality mobile app uses “spatial computing” to measure and estimate different jobs. According to the company, the app can be used for curves and irregular shapes, as well as for rectangular slabs. Along with determining the number of bags of concrete mix needed to complete a project, the app recommends the appropriate product in the Sakrete lineup and identifies the nearest retailer.
The Sakrete augmented reality app is free, is available in English and Spanish, and is available for iOS and Android for the following devices: iPhone 6S or newer, iPad Pro (9.7”, 10.5”, and 12.9”), iPad 2017 or newer, and Android devices running Android 7.0.
