If you’ve spend any time at all the past two weeks on social media, particularly Instagram, you likely have seen posts about the Bosch “Freak” giveaway. Here’s some important information in case you missed it or are looking for additional details.
Bosch is giving away its two-in-one impact driver, the IDH182. The driver’s head can hold a 1/4-inch hex bit or 1/2-inch drive socket. It’s not a new tool, but it is now running off of Bosch’s Core18V battery platform.

Are you looking to invest in a new battery platform? If so, Bosch wants to know why you need one. Entering is simple – all you have to do is make a short video. The official request is: “In 30 seconds or less, share a video of why you need a new battery platform.” The deadline is September 14, 2018. There’s an entry form on the Bosch website here.
The manufacturer is giving away 2,000 of these so-called “Freaks,” which are now equipped with the new CORE18V battery.
Bosch says, “The promotion dovetails with the Bosch CORE18V 4.0 Ah battery becoming available at Lowe’s in September. Winners of the Freak contest will be encouraged to post another video with their impact driver and CORE18V battery for a chance to win more prizes.”
