Can’t Get It here: Makita Battery Adaptor

1 MIN READ

If you can put a bunch of D-cell batteries in a flashlight, why can’t you put more than one battery in a cordless tool? Makita asked the same question and came up with the BCV01 Dual 18-volt Lithium-ion battery adaptor, which allows the user to power 36-volt Makita tools with a pair of 18-volt LXT batteries. You can’t get the adapter here, but it’s available in the U.K and Canada. Like other tool companies, Makita has been pushing everything they can to the 18-volt platform so they have a limited number of 36-volt tools – rotary hammers, brush trimmers, and other garden equipment. But as you might have guessed, most of those products are not available here – though you can get a rotary hammer.
