It used to be when a carpenter hollered, “Hand me a cordless,” everyone knew he was asking for a drill-driver. That was the only kind of cordless tool there was. Advances in battery technology mean you can now get cordless versions of bigger, more powerful tools like demo hammers, miter saws, jigsaws, and routers. But if you’re a carpenter, the three power tools you absolutely can’t live without are a circular saw, a recip saw, and a drill.
