Who says you need power tools? Not this guy, and to prove it he used hand tools and hand-cranked tools to build an awesome foot-powered lathe.
I like everything about this project: the way he mixed and matched old machine parts with wooden parts he made himself, how he increased the capacity of the lathe by raising the tail stock with a carved wooden block, and that he went to the trouble to make a functional machine beautiful. I could watch this over and over again.
